Instructional Media Center Upgrades To LISA6
November 2006
SJCQC,
the first LISA user, has embarked on migrating LISA 2002 to LISA6
for its Instructional Media Center. The upgrade process will cover 5 major libraries
inside its campus including that of College, Graduate School, High School, Grade
School and the institutional Audio Visual Center.
With the new version, the IMC will be able to catalog new material types, circulate
materials of any kind and improve library management. With LISA6, the IMC will also
be able to bring back independence among its library in terms of resource management,
choice of policies, patron lists, schedule and calendar, and reporting ... all while
retaining inter-library operations.
LISA6 in SJCQC will be operation in November 2006.
